15 Minutes to Functionality: A Garden Space

Having absolutely zero time lately to do anything that merits an actual photo sequence of house progress, I decided to prep for this weekend by taking 15 minutes and organizing my gardening shelf. At least I’d feel like I got something done to aid in some upcoming gardening tasks planned for this weekend. (Why yes, the yard is slated to get some much needed TLC since the last go around.)

With so much to do and so little time in which to do it, you’ve gotta take your little victories wherever you can find them.

Since Matt gives me allows me to have one miniscule shelf in our giant, oversized 2-car garage because of his mancave obsessiveness, (mentioned in this post) my sanctioned space gets pretty damn unruly pretty damn fast.

I have to corral all of my tools, seeds, fertilizers, bulbs, shoes, gloves, etc. on this ONE shelf so you’d THINK I’d realize nearly 3 years into this song and dance that organization would be key to my landscape efficacy.

Here is my shelf… Wait, forget calling it a shelf. I’ll call it my DOMAIN to trick Matthew into giving me more room so the name is warranted. But yeah, here she is.,.

Messy DOMAIN

Ignore the wine bottles. When you drink as much as we do, they end up all over the place. Juuuuust kidding. Kind of. In all seriousness, I have a DIY decorating project planned for them since they have the most beautiful shades of blues and greens.

After 15 minutes of clearing out, tossing out, sweeping out and mellowing out in the process, I give you my new garden domain from which to efficiently grab any garden accoutrement necessary. Voila!

Cleaned up domain.

Little victories, I tell you.

P.S. Only TWO days until the first day of fall which just happens to coincide with our school house anniversary so check back in a couple of days for a sentimental love letter to this house and SHR’s first ever giveaway. Yeah, baby!
